statement

My practice involves the study of ephemera in the natural world. Light, reflection and shadows are my main focus and I have been inspired by alluring shadows for several years. These naturally occurring movements range from enigmatic and subtle to acts that are at times chaotic and energetic. These are rarely captured, if at all. Like life they are temporary, but as I record them in film, photography and painting I offer permanency and a chance for viewers to examine and appreciate them.

An inaugural group exhibition featuring Gillian Gibson, Victoria Haycock, Kay Hood, Caroline McGonigal and Sabrin Miller. Covering a varied range of subject matter, a sense of motion is explored through both domestic and natural themes.
